Explore two cemetery sections
Werstener Feld separates the older eastern grounds from the western extension created in 1956. Geometric paths dominate the older part; the newer part mainly has curved paths. The main entrances face each other, and a pedestrian connection under the southern road and Düssel bridge links the two sections.
The chapel and historic features
The chapel and administrative rooms date from 1925/26. The map below marks the building as Chapel / funeral hall. Access to its interior depends on its use at the time.
The stone high cross dates from 1909 and has been listed since 2010. Field 3 contains honour graves of German victims of the Second World War; field 6 commemorates war victims from several eastern European countries. No estimated coordinates are supplied for these features. Use the official plan linked on the cemetery map to relate the field numbers to the grounds.
